HISTORY

Since 1939, the Amano family name has stood for quality in naturally aged whole bean soy sauce and miso (soybean and rice paste).  Drawing on three generations of Japanese brewing and miso tradition, Amano products are hand crafted and carefully aged using select organic ingredients.  We have our supplier's assurances' that these materials are GMO free.  Our products are Kosher certified and Organic certified for Tamari soy sauce and miso products.

Tamari Soy Sauce

is a premium soy sauce, the first pressing of carefully aged soy mash, this soy sauce is completely natural with a distinctive, smooth finish that can be used to accompany sushi or to flavour sauces, marinades, soups and dressings.  No preservatives or food additives.  Kosher and Organic certified.

 

Wheat Free Tamari

is an imported product made with soybeans only.  Naturally brewed with no preservatives, this soy sauce is ideal for those with food allergies.

 

Soy Sauce

is Amano's Japanese style of soy sauce.  Natural brewed, it is a blended soy sauce, lighter and more subtle than the Tamari soy sauce.  Ideal for sushi, salad dressings, marinades and perfect for table use.  Kosher certified.

 

Light Soy Sauce

is a delicate blend of select ingredients to create a hint of soy sauce flavour.  Ideal for dips, sauces and dressings where subtle soy sauce flavour is required.  Kosher certified.

 

Dark Soy Sauce

is a thick rich sauce ideal for soups, stews or gravies.  Kosher certified.

 

Teriyaki Sauce

is a gentle blend of Amano naturally brewed soy sauce and select seasonings.  Ideal for basting, marinades and stir fries.  Kosher certified.

TYPES OF MISO PASTES

Amano Foods' pastes are made from selected organically grown soybeans, koji (rice, mold culture), sea salt and water, and aged for one season in wooden kegs.  All miso pastes are Kosher and Organic Certified.  The miso pastes offered are:

Shiro Miso (Mellow White Miso)
Aka Miso (Mellow Red Miso)
Genmai Miso (Mellow Brown Rice Miso)
